Annie's Shenanigans

Spring Break Cuties

Friday, March 28, 2014

Spring break has come and gone. Westbury Animal Hospital was in a flurry of activity as pets from all around came to board, be treated, or just to have their check-ups. Over the course of the last two weeks, Westbury Animal Hospital boarded close to 356 dogs and cats! There were so many wonderful animals and great stories to tell. I wanted to highlight some of the cutest I found while roaming the halls.

The Frenchie Ottoman. This senior fellow feels compelled to take a nap at the expense of his companion who is very obliged to act as a head rest!

This is what I like to call, "The Sniper" move. This kitty is so affectionate he will grab hold of anyone who passes by to encourage a head pat or a treat.

What would spring time be without puppies!!! A whole pile of puppies blessed us with their presence when mom needed some veterinary assistance. All puppies and mom are doing great!

This boarder was found with remnants of Mom's goodbye kiss on her forehead. So nice to be loved!

Thanks to all the lovely critters who came to visit over Spring Break. You brought us much joy!

I call Westbury Animal Hospital my "home away from home".  This is the place where I get

to spend my days….and sometimes nights, I get to play with friends, take my naps, and have great adventures along the way.

My name is Annie and I am a 6 month old cocker spaniel mix. I was abandoned at the age of 3 weeks and was sent to stay at Westbury where I would soon find my new mother.  She is one of the veterinarians at Westbury and I could not be more thrilled with being bottle raised in a nice home and still allowed to visit Westbury whenever she works. My favorite time of day is when I first arrive at the clinic doors and my mom lets me run into the back room just after the other boys and girls have been fed their morning meal. I run as fast as I can to pick up all the kibbles that dropped on the floor from the kennels above. I have to hurry or my mom will scoop me up before I can eat too many. She doesn’t want me getting a full belly before she pours my own breakfast into my bowl.

I have a lot of fun during the day and I hope to share some of my stories with you in my new blog. I hope to become somewhat of a sensation across the web so I can buy all the hot pink accessories I want. Please follow along and I will give you the behind the scenes tour you always wanted….and a few secrets too.
